We are looking for someone with energy, inspiration, and a commitment to making a difference, who wants to work in an exciting, fast-paced and expanding organization.
College degree with science background preferred. Medical Assistant Diploma and California Phlebotomy certification required. Will need excellent computer skills, be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
The detail oriented and highly organized individual will be involved in day-to-day operations of the Cryobank laboratory along with a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Must be self motivated, willing to work independently.
Include the following:
• Preparing blood and urine specimens for testing
• Testing blood and urine specimens
• All activities related to handling specimen and shipping specimen
• Specimen labeling and storage
• Blood/urine collection
• Running serum assays
• Inputing data
• Generating reports
• Daily QA/QC
• Laboratory Test follow-up and data entry and filing of results
• Laboratory supply ordering
• Equipment maintenance
• Equipment Validation testing
• College degree with science background preferred
• Medical Assistant Diploma and California Phlebotomy certification required
• Good English oral and written communication skills
• Calm demeanor
• Ability to follow through on various tasks
• Manual dexterity and good vision vital. Color blindness is a prohibitive factor.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to work in a team environment, with supervision being minimal
• Extensive use of computer and phone
• Able to problem solve, plan and organize
• Punctuality and dependability are a must.
Monday through Friday; 9 am to 5:30 pm; $12 to $15 hour, depending on experience, plus the following benefits:
