LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 15, 2016) – California-based Growing Generations, a well-respected leader in the egg donation and surrogacy industry, is excited to announce details related to their annual scholarship essay competition.
The competition, open to both undergraduate and graduate level students, provides a non-renewable prize of $1,000 each to three qualified scholars. In order to qualify, candidates need to:
- Be a legal U.S. citizen
- Be accepted to, or already enrolled at, an accredited college or university within the United States as a full-time student
- Hold a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
In addition, applicants will be asked to submit an original essay of no more than 1,000 words on what a family is, and what it takes to create one. Applicants are encouraged to draw on personal experiences and use evidence to support their claims and thesis.
Applicants will be considered as follows:
- Essay (70%)
- Originality (20%)
- Relevance to topic (25%)
- Evidence-supported thesis (25%)
- GPA (30%)
