Meet GG: Anna Stewart
Anna is a Surrogate Admission Specialist and has been with Growing Generations since 2011. A former Growing Generations’ surrogate herself, Anna now works with incoming surrogates immediately after their initial consultation and through the confirmation of the match with their future intended parents. During that time she helps new surrogates understand and complete all necessary paperwork. Additionally, she runs a background check and books travel and doctor appointments for the prospective surrogate’s medical screening in Los Angeles.
In 2007, Anna helped an Australian couple become fathers when she gave birth to their twins. Becoming a surrogate felt like a natural fit to her family, and they moved through their journey with ease. At the close of her journey, she knew surrogacy was something she’d want to have in her life for years to come. So when, years after her journey ended, Anna noticed a job opening with Growing Generations’ Ohio Valley office, she applied. Once offered the job, Anna took a giant leap of faith and followed her dream from her home in Texas to Wheeling, West Virginia. It’s a move she considers one of her best decisions ever!
Anna is also a Growing Generations’ Knowledge Keeper, a position she is very proud to have attained in 2015. These duties include reviewing and confirming all Affordable Care Act (ACA) policies on an annual basis. A champion of the surrogates she assists, when asked the favorite part of her job, Anna answered, “helping surrogates have the best journey ever.”
Outside of the office Anna is a devoted mother of three and loves to cook and explore new places with her family. She has known her husband for over 20 years! Best friends first and married after just a month long courtship in 2004, she still describes her husband as her “partner in crime.”
When not mastering new dishes in the kitchen or watching TV with her family, Anna also enjoys historical tourism by visiting historical towns or taking in regional Renaissance festivals. Pairing her love of travel with her ambition in the kitchen, owning and operating a Bed & Breakfast tops Anna’s bucket list. She’d also like to satisfy her travel bug by visiting Egypt, China, and Australia in the future.
