All About Our Surrogate Support Facebook Group

One of the best things about being a Growing Generations’ surrogate is the league of incredible women that you’ll be introduced to along the way. These women, who often call themselves “surro-sisters,” are other GG surrogates. They may be currently pregnant, waiting to become pregnant, or experienced surrogates. Together, this community of women can offer support, friendship, and insight unlike anything you can even imagine. One of the ways they communicate is through the Growing Generations’ surrogate Facebook group. The supportive atmosphere of like-minded women provides a powerful impact on your journey and often leads to friendships that last far beyond your time as an active surrogate.

Inclusion in this group is by invitation only. Only women who have completed the rigorous Growing Generations’ surrogate screening process and have been formally matched with intended parents are invited to join the group. This ensures that everyone in the group is a screened, cleared, and approved surrogate with our program. The group is not mandatory for your journey, and at just about 300 members, remains close-knit and intimate.

While you are welcome to search Facebook for this group, titled “I Helped Create a Family and I’m a GG Surrogate,” you will also receive an invitation to the group via email once you qualify.  Membership for the group will not be approved until you’re officially matched with your intended parents. Marketing and Admissions specialist Kelly Enders-Tharp approves requests for membership roughly once a week, so please allow a bit of time between meeting the requirements for membership and having your request approved.

If your social media alias is different from how GG knows you, it can be beneficial to share your social media credentials with us in order to streamline your identification and approval. Also, if you share a social media account with your significant other, you may be asked to create a solo account for the purposes of this group. Due to the sensitive subject matter discussed in this forum and the desire to keep it a safe place for everyone, significant others of members are not permitted membership. Therefore, GG surrogates with shared social media accounts will not receive membership.

Once you’re a member, you’re welcome to stay in this group as long as you like. Members are only asked to leave if they choose to complete a future surrogate journey with another agency or independently. This is for security and confidentiality concerns.

Have more questions? Feel free to reach out to Kelly Enders-Tharp, who is also the group administrator, at email hidden; JavaScript is required.
