Surrogate Stories: Karen

For me, surrogacy started with such a strong desire to help others. It was deep seated in my heart and became something that I felt so passionate about doing long before I made the choice to go for it! So when it was time to go for it, getting started was as simple as a Google search. I remember clicking on the first link I saw, Growing Generations, and spending hours reading every single word and watching every single video on their website. By the time I was done I was convinced, this was something I was going to do. My family was complete, but I loved being pregnant. This just made sense.

I was matched with Intended Parents who I loved. Two men from the States, they were so kind to me. We built a caring relationship that was filled with compassion and trust. I’ll never forget the birth and the moment their children (I carried twins) were placed into their fathers’ arms. It was a beautiful moment, and I felt so honored to be a part of it. That instant remains my favorite memory of the entire experience.

My whole experience with Growing Generations was amazing, I have nothing to complain about! Their communication with me was always so prompt and professional. My financials were handled quickly and efficiently, and I loved having the online Facebook group, filled with the support of other women who knew exactly what I was going through.

I love to share my personal surrogacy story, to tell people about all of the love and beauty that came with it. I’ve learned that most people are new to the idea of surrogacy. I was regularly asked the same questions over and over again through my process. Once they can wrap their heads around it though, I found most people thought that what I was doing was amazing.

Would I do it again? Yes. In fact, I can’t wait to do it again. That quick and easy “YES” comes right from my heart. I love being pregnant and miss it when I’m not. I’m good at making babies, and this is a way I can easily help others out.
