New Books for Adults and Children About Surrogacy by Dr. Bergman

Kim Bergman, PhD, a licensed psychologist and co-owner and senior partner of Growing Generations, has written the definitive primer on assisted reproduction, Your Future Family: The Essential Guide to Assisted Reproduction (Everything You Need to Know about Surrogacy, Egg Donation, and Sperm Donation). It provides a foundational knowledge of third-party reproduction and includes essential facts as well as a list of resources to help intended parents along the way.

Your Future Family provides a roadmap for navigating the journey of building a family through assisted reproduction. It outlines the very first steps intended parents should take, the options available to them at each turn, and includes essential advice and tips to help set them up for success. Filled with open and honest personal anecdotes from Bergman’s own life, as well as the lives of her clients, this book brings the human element of creating a family this way to life.

It’s no wonder that in the few short weeks after the book was released, it garnered praise from celebrities such as Andy Cohen, Ryan Murphy, and Dustin Lance Black. Excerpts from her book have been featured in The Advocate and feature articles written in People Magazine and L.A. Parent as well as on the Mombian website.

Bergman has also written the recently released children’s book called You Began as a Wish released in October 2019. This book helps parents beautifully and simply explain how their children were brought into the world.

If you are considering third-party reproduction and need information and guidance, we encourage you to pick up either of Dr. Bergman’s books and read them for yourself or to your child. If you have any questions on becoming a parent through surrogacy or egg donation, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
