Stuart Bell is the co-owner of Growing Generations, the largest surrogacy and egg donation company in the United States. Prior to joining Growing Generations, Stuart spent over a decade in executive level positions in both profit and not-for-profit companies. As a writer with a strong emphasis on gay rights issues, his work has appeared in numerous publications over the past 20 years. He is the author of Prayer Warriors, a memoir published in 1999 by Alyson publications. In February, 2008, Stuart and his husband welcomed their son into the world who was conceived through surrogacy and egg donation. He is active as a donor and volunteer with local and national organizations including Human Rights Campaign, Family Equality Council, LA Gay & Lesbian Center and Los Angeles Youth Network. He served for 10 years on the board of the American Fertility Association, 4 of those as co-chair. A native of Tennessee, Stuart holds a degree in Communications from Middle Tennessee State University, and has lived in Los Angeles since 1992.
Dr. Kim Bergman
Kim Bergman, Ph.D., licensed psychologist, is co-owner of Growing Generations, one of the largest surrogacy agencies in the world. She has specialized in third party assisted reproduction and LGBT parenting since the early 1990s. Dr. Bergman is an expert on the historically groundbreaking topic of parenting by choice, particularly within the LGBT community. She provides psychological services to hundreds of Intended Parents from around the world to assist them in the complex, extraordinary assisted reproductive process. Dr. Bergman is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, American Fertility Association, American Psychological Association, California and Los Angeles County Psychological Association, Lesbian and Gay Psychotherapy Association, and the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association. Dr. Bergman is a national emeritus board member of the Family Equality Council. She writes, teaches and speaks on ethical family building internationally. She has coauthored "Gay Men Who Become Fathers via Surrogacy: The Transition to Parenthood", (Journal of GLBT Family Studies, April 2010). She has multiple research projects in process, designed to further our knowledge, understanding and ability to serve this ever-growing population.

Teo Martinez graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Later he earned an executive MBA from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management, where he was inducted as a Beta Gamma Sigma honoree. Teo began his career with Growing Generations in 1999, and is considered an authority in the field of surrogacy and egg donation administration, as well as cost analysis. As CEO, Teo oversees the Strategic Development of Growing Generations and is the executive officer in charge of customer care and satisfaction. Teo also sits on the executive board of Path2Parenthood as its Treasurer, and is Chair of the board of directors of the Los Angeles Youth Network (LAYN). With his educational background, volunteer work and nearly two decades of experience in the industry, Martinez is one of the most knowledgeable and accomplished professionals in the field of surrogacy and egg donation.

Erica Horton graduated with honors from Central Washington University with a B.S. in Business. In 2003, she began her career at Growing Generations as a college intern. Erica's role in the company has expanded significantly since 2003, and now—as President—she oversees all departments that manage care for intended parents, surrogates and donors. Erica also serves on Family Equality Council's Board of Directors. She has two children: Gavin and Jack. Both boys were conceived with the help of an anonymous sperm donor. As a strong advocate for all families, Erica is passionate about helping people realize their dream of becoming parents.
Heidi joined the Growing Generations family as a Client Services Coordinator in the Ohio Valley office and was promoted to Client Services Manager. Heidi attended Kent State University where she majored in Child Psychology. Prior to coming to Growing Generations, Heidi spent the previous 16 years working in the Social Service field. She spent 8 years at a Residential Treatment Facility working with at risk youth, as well as 8 years providing Early Intervention Services for families in need of Child Development Education and Social Service Support. Heidi is married and has one daughter. Heidi enjoys time with her family, lounging by the pool, reading, and watching reruns of "Friends".
Director of Strategic Development
Vanessa is the Director of Strategic Development, having begun her career as an Administrative Coordinator and working as a Client Services Coordinator. Originally from Palm Beach Gardens, FL, she attended college in Boston. She received her bachelor's degree in 2004 from Emerson College. Vanessa enjoys talking with surrogates, egg donors, and clients about this amazing journey. This Los Angeles transplant can be found exploring Southern California in her free time.
Senior Client Development Specialist
Erica joins Growing Generations as a Client Services Coordinator for the Client Services Department. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication and minor in Theatre from Ithaca College in 2008. She has a wide range of previous experience from hospitality service to assisting on grant proposals to provide broadband internet to rural regions in West Virginia. Erica enjoys musical theatre, antiquing, spending time with family and friends, singing in her car, and quoting the TV show FRIENDS.
Senior Surrogate Admissions Specialist
Lisa joined Growing Generations in 2011 with 15 years of experience in the surrogacy community. In addition to her 15 years of professional surrogacy experience, Lisa has been a surrogate 3 times as well as an Egg Donor. In 1996 she gave birth to a baby boy for a couple in Connecticut, in 1998 she helped a couple add a baby girl to their family, and in 2002 she finished her surrogacy journeys with a baby boy for a couple in Maryland."I will never forget the day my first surrogacy ended with the birth of my couples' son. The intended father was up at my head trying to be respectful and my husband, a Marine Gunnery Sergeant, reached across my stomach with his hand extended to the dad and said, "Come here dad, you only get one chance to see your son be born". It finally hit me then, what we were doing was much bigger than I ever imagined. It was then that I got involved in surrogacy full time.Lisa resides in Alabama with her husband of 20 years, John a retired Marine. She is a former Marine and has two sons John, 1, who is currently serving on active duty as a U.S Marine and Zachary, 18, a freshman in College. In her free time Lisa and her husband operate an all-volunteer Non-Profit dog rescue, saving dogs from High Kill shelters in her area.
Admissions Specialist – Surrogate
Anna is a previous surrogate of twins with Growing Generations and had a wonderful experience! She has come to Growing Generations to help other women realize their dreams of helping others. Originally from Texas, she has been a stay at home mom and bringing up her brood there for the past few years. With this new opportunity she is very excited to share her experience as a surrogate and mom with other women. In her free time Anna likes to explore historical districts, read, cook and play card games. Hanging out with family and friends is a great pastime for her too.
Admissions Specialist – Surrogate
Danielle is a 2009 graduate of West Liberty University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a minor in Social Work. She has joined the team at Growing Generations to put her passion for helping others to work in a positive atmosphere. She feels blessed with the opportunity to play a small part in the incredible journey of surrogacy and to help others achieve the happiness of building a family. Her experience includes years of activism and involvement in the LGBT community, fighting for equality, and promoting acceptance of LGBT youth and families. In her free time, Danielle loves working out, experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with her partner and their mischievous pups! She is also an avid supporter of local and organic farmers and always looks forward to the markets that spring up during the warmer months.
Admissions Specialist – Surrogate
Sunnie is delighted to join the GG team! Sunnie has always been passionate about helping others and is an advocate for human rights. She also loves connecting with new people and hearing their amazing stories. Sunnie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from West Liberty University in 2012 and has an extensive background in customer service. In her free time Sunnie enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the outdoors. She is the mother of a busy two-year-old son who keeps her on her toes.
Alisha happily joins the Growing Generations family as an Admissions Coordinator. She received her Master's Degree in Social Work with the concentration of Children, Youth, & Families from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Over the past 5 years, Alisha has worked in the social service field providing case management and therapeutic services with "at-risk" youth as well as foster children and their families. She is proud to be a part of a team that helps intended parents fulfill their dream of becoming a family. Alisha enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends, and two dogs. In her free time, you can often find her cooking, baking, outdoors, traveling, and making improvements to her home. She is passionate about animal rescue and is an active volunteer with a dog rescue organization.
Director of International Relations
Jessica was born and raised in Spain and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Law in Barcelona. She, also, proudly holds a Master's Degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. Prior to moving to Los Angeles in 2000, Jessica practiced law for six years and specialized in probate and litigation. Her passion for travelling and exploring different cultures led her to live in several European countries and to be fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, French, and her native Catalan. Her professional background also includes years at the executive level in the entertainment industry and in real estate, where she was recruited by the Beverly Hills North Office of Coldwell Banker, the #1 office in the United States. Jessica loves everything related to the culinary arts and is happiest when among friends in a great restaurant!
Lacey joins Growing Generations as a Client Services Coordinator. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Specialized Studies with concentration areas of Social Work, Health, and Psychology from Ohio University and recently received her Master's Degree in Social Work. Lacey comes to Growing Generations with seven years of experience in the Social Services field, as well as experience in the Hospitality Field. Lacey has a strong desire to help enrich the lives of others. She enjoys relaxing in the sun, going for walks, and spending time with friends and family.
Director of International Relations – Asia Pacific
Jennifer is our Director of International Relations – Asia Pacific. Years ago, she joined the Growing Generations team as a Client Services Coordinator in our Los Angeles office. Currently, she resides in Asia and works with both potential and retained clients in that region. She loves traveling, learning new languages, and exploring other cultures. Throughout her time with GG, Jennifer has learned something new every day and feels lucky to have the chance to help build happy families. In her spare time, Jennifer likes to spend time with her family, friends and pets, as well as watching reruns of Arrested Development. She tries to visit a new eatery every week, so feel free to discuss food recommendations with her anytime!
Nicole joins Growing Generations as a Financial Coordinator. She studied accounting at The University of Akron and has over six years of experience in finance. She loves spending time with her family and is very proud to be part of a team that creates new families each and every day. In her free time, you can find Nicole spending time with her family and friends or listening to music. She also enjoys traveling and being introduced to new places and people.
Craig M. Conley
Craig is the Operations Manager, having begun his career as an Operations Assistant before moving to the Finance Department as a Finance Coordinator. Craig is a graduate of Marshall University in West Virginia, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Finance. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife and son, watching and attending sporting events, golfing, snow skiing, playing ice hockey, cooking and relaxing with friends and family.
Cody joins Growing Generations as a Financial Coordinator in our Ohio Valley office. He recently graduated from The University of Akron in Ohio with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Cody enjoys spending time with loved ones and staying active. Both of these are accomplished while chasing his 16 month old nephew!

Stephanie joins the Growing Generations team as a Donor Development Coordinator in the Ohio Valley office.She comes to Growing Generations with a strong background in business and durable medical equipment with over 10 years experience in the field.Stephanie is an active member in her hometown, church and community and always looks forward to lending a helping hand. Sarah joins Growing Generations as an Admissions Specialist. She is extremely excited to start this new journey. She comes with over ten years of experience in customer service. She graduated in 2017 with a BA in Organizational Leadership and Development from Wheeling Jesuit University.Sarah currently resides in West Virginia but loves exploring and traveling. She and her husband are the proud parents of a son, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 6 chickens. In her spare time she enjoys playing with her 3 year old, spending time with family and friends, reading, catching up on TV shows and watching movies. She has a passion for helping people and is eager to help people experience the exhilarating world of parenthood.
Valerie happily joins the Growing Generations team as an Operations Coordinator. She brings to Growing Generations an extensive background in working with people and providing customer service. She joined Growing Generations to put her passion of helping people to work.Valerie feels blessed and honored to have the opportunity to play a role in helping others achieve their dreams of building a family. Being a single mother herself, she understands what it means to value and assist individuals and couples who want to have and raise children, regardless of sexual orientation or marital status.Valerie loves spending time with her teenage daughter. Michele was born and raised in Hong Kong. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Michele comes to Growing Generations with more than 5 years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry. She has a passion for travelling and exploring different cultures, she gained a memorable lifetime experience by living in different continental, such as Netherlands and Australia. She feels very lucky to be part of GG family that helps other parents to build their own families and deliver an experience that is treasured forever! In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, being active outdoors, exploring the city, listening to music, nature, gardening and spending quality time with friends and family.

Kelly joined Growing Generations in 2012 after three amazing surrogacy journeys with GG. In 2008 she gave birth to identical twin girls for a couple in northern California, in 2010 she carried twins again, giving birth to a baby boy and girl for a couple in southern California and in 2012 she gave birth to a baby boy for an Australian couple. Kelly is well known in the surrogacy community for her blog, I’m not the Mom, I’m just the stork! , where she tries to help educate the public about gestational surrogacy. Kelly is an advocate for Surrogates and has spoken both domestically and internationally.Kelly graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.S. in Health Science and a minor in Human Sexuality. She later received her teaching credential in Health and Psychology and her Masters of Arts in Education (with multi-cultural emphasis). She taught Health at the high school level before having her first child and then taught Human Sexuality at American River College for over a decade.Kelly resides in northern California with her wife Erin, her children Ruby, Preston and Sawyer and her stepson Charlie. Kelly loves spending time laughing and cuddling with her family and is lucky enough to still have relationships with all three of her Surrogate families. Amy joins the Growing Generations family as a Finance Specialist. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Specialized Studies in the concentration areas of Social Work, Psychology and Child and Family Development from Ohio University. She brings with her 20 years of experience working in the social service field and has worked with a wide range of individuals, from child abuse and neglect, to victims of crime. Amy is passionate about helping others and is very proud to work with an agency that helps to enrich lives and helps others achieve their dreams. Amy enjoys spending time with her two children, family and friends, doing yardwork, watching Netflix and spending quiet time alone.

Christa comes to Growing Generations with over 15 years in the social work field and was very excited to start a new career with Growing Generations. Christa graduated from West Liberty University in 1995 and was a licensed Social Worker in the stated of WV. She had worked with children, families and adults in various settings. Christa enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and grandson. She also loves her 2 dogs as if they were her children. Christa loves being outdoors(when it’s warm), spending time on her boat and traveling to new places. Her ultimate bucket list item is to travel to Africa to work with children affected by the AIDS virus. Her motto in life is live each day to the fullest because you never know when it may be your last.

Kellie is absolutely delighted to join Growing Generations! In addition to an abundance of enthusiasm, she brings over a decade of customer service experience. She welcomes the opportunity to continue to provide customer service via being part of an amazing team which makes dreams come true each and every day! While she isn’t very musically inclined herself, enjoying a wide variety of music plays a central role in her life. When she’s not lost in a song, she spends her time with family and friends, watching and collecting obscure films, nurturing her love affair with chocolate chai and coffee, and indulging in her obsession with Doctor Who.
VIP Case Specialist
Marlon joins Growing Generations with a background in client services, relationship building, and project management in the nonprofit sector. He has had experience working in a healthcare environment, and is thrilled to bring that experience into the fertility field. He is very excited at the opportunity to help others improve their egg health and achieve their family-building goals. Marlon is fluent in both English and Spanish. In his spare time he bakes sweet and savory treats, enjoys tasting new foods and enjoys urban hikes and outdoor activities.
Andrew is very excited to be a part of the Growing Generations team. Andrew is a graduate of Marshall University in West Virginia, and previously worked in patient advocacy helping struggling uninsured patients with obtaining affordable health insurance. He is very proud to be working for a company that helps create families. Andrew is a classic “nerd”, and outside of work he enjoys reading comic books, watching professional wrestling, spending time with his family, writing blogs about pop culture, playing music, and planning the future with his wonderful girlfriend as they await the arrival of their first child.
Caitlin obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Slippery Rock University, majoring in English Professional Writing and minoring in Communications. She has several years of experience working in customer service prior to joining Growing Generations. Caitlin is excited to be a part of the Growing Generations team and to help create families. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Caitlin loves to go fishing, attend NASCAR races and college football games, and watch Netflix.
Erin is absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Growing Generations team! Erin graduated with an Associates in Accounting, and has over a decade of experience in customer service. In her spare time, Erin is an avid cook and crafter. She is always trying new recipes and experimenting with different tastes. She loves gathering family and friends around for celebrations of all kinds or even just a delicious meal. Erin also enjoys gardening and makes time to plant one every year. She has to admit that she is still learning how to be a good gardener! Overall, she simply enjoys things homemade: family, friends, food, and fun!
Dave is extremely happy and excited to be joining the Growing Generations family as a Finance Specialist. Dave is a graduate of West Liberty University in West Virginia where he received his bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership & Administration. When he is not working, he enjoys watching his daughter play ice hockey and golf as well as helping his son in home improvement projects. Married for 17 years, Dave is devoted to his family and friends. His favorite type of movies are slapstick comedies.
